Petratto began in 1976 as a natural evolution of Petratto Bookbinding and Paper. In 1971, the company began the production of post-press machines, starting from simple bookends up to the most sophisticated machines available today. In 1998, thanks to new digital technologies, the first CORDOBA is created, spearheading the company in creasing machines and folding machines. In 2002, the flagship of the folder glue was born: METRO, a modular and flexible machine. By virtue of its new folding and gluing system, it creates a new technological pathway, launching Petratto onto the international market in direct and winning competition with the biggest brands in the sector, which have since followed its path. In 2015, Petratto expanded its range of machines by introducing the new and innovative PDF74, a fully-automatic die cutting platen for small and medium runs. In 2016, the company welcomed the Eclipse, a die-cutting machine that combines laser cutting with a completely new mechanical linear creasing concept.
