Westlund Reciprocating Placer
Summary
While speaking with customers, it became clear that there are misconceptions about reciprocating placers.
On most reciprocating placers, a shaft that turns back and forth (anywhere from 90 to 180 degrees) provides the motion at the placer head. A pneumatic cylinder or an electric motor usually provides this motion.
However, there are significant differences between a placer driven by a pneumatic cylinder and a placer driven by an electric motor.
